Tandem Club Whats On

If you participate in any ride organised by or in the name of The Tandem Club, you do so entirely at your own risk. The Club, its officers and ride organisers accept no responsibility for any loss, damage to property, accident, injury or death that may occur, however caused, whether by negligence, deliberate act or otherwise. These rides are organised for members of the Tandem Club, please join the club.

| West Country | Portishead to Yatton. Start: Portishead at 09:30. 36 miles, A. Meet at the South end (public toilet end) of the Esplanade at The Lake Grounds, Portishead, ready for a 9:30 start. Public toilets are available 30p cash only, no copper, no change given. Parking is free at the Lake Grounds. The route is via Portbury village and Failand to Ashton Court (stop for coffee and cake). Leave Ashton Court 11:20, then via The Festival Way to Backwell and Yatton (for lunch @ 12:45) Return to Portishead via Clevedon Sea Front and Walton in Gordano Coast Road. | Thameswey | Alan & Margaret's ride. Start: Sainsburys, Tadley at 10:00. 30 miles, A. Meet at Starbucks Cafe at the front of Sainsburys, Tadley (Mulfords Hill, RG26 3JE) at 10.00am. You can park at Harrisons Dentist's car park, just behind Sainsbury's car park on Brick Kiln Industrial Estate, off Silchester Road, Tadley, RG26 3PX (best place to park as sometimes parking is checked at Sainsbury's). We plan to leave at 10.30am for a leisurely 30 mile ride around the lanes of Hampshire. Lunch is at the Coach and Horses, Rotherwick (RG27 9BG) and the menu is attached (sweets can be ordered on the day). The pub would like to know numbers and our menu choices beforehand, so please could you let Alan and Margaret know at the latest by Wednesday 15th July if you are coming and what you would like to eat. | Taunton | July 2026 Ride. Start: The square in the centre of Chagford - 2 Public Car Parks are available (payable) at 10:00 for 10:30 start. 20 miles. Coffee/ breakfast is available in a number of Cafes in Chagford. First 5 miles is uphill (Dartmoor Hills!). Lunch in Widecombe after 11 miles at the Cafe on the Green.
